- You are the 3rd child. We are not to have more than 2 kids. Since you weren't supposed to exist, you must remain out of sight until further notice.

- Rising Action
- I don't want to hide anymore. I'll go to the Sports Family's houseto investigate.
- Climax
- Luke - I'm afraid I'm not going to the rally.Jen - Get out of this house now!!! I don't need you in here if you can't go to the rally!
- I hope Jengets shot atthe rally.
- Mother explains the population law to Lukeand explains that he has to hide because thegovernment only allows families to have 2 children.
- Falling Action
- Luke comes up with a plan to go over to the Sports Family's houseto investigate. He finds another 3rd child - a girl named Jen.
- Resolution
- Jen kicks Luke out of the house after he says he will notattend the rally. Luke hopes that someone will shoot Jenat the rally then regrets that thought.
- Theme
- Luke finds Jen's dad in their house and learns that Jen is dead.She was shot with 40 other illegal children during the rally bythe Population Police, and Luke decides to get a fake ID.
- Luke says goodbye to his family, and Lee Grant (Luke) starts his new life.What lies ahead if Lee grant.
- Take risks even if it's very dangerous.
