- Scene 1: Beowulf and King Hrothgar arrive at the Lake of Demons
- I was not afraid of Grendel, and his mother gives me no trepidation.
- Beowulf, you do not have to enter this Lake to kill Grendel's mother
- Scene 2: Beowulf plunges into the depths of the murky lake
- Beowulf will not emerge alive. Grendel's mother will devour him and then come for us poor Danes.
- Scene 3:Grendel's mother grasps Beowulf with her tentacles and all seems lost
- You foul murderer of my child! I will avenge his death through your crushed bones.
- How can I fight these tentacles which cruelly encompass me?
- Beowulf must have been erradicated by Grendel's mother. We have waited an age.
- Scene 4: King Hrothgar and Wiglaf are filled with anxiety for the plight of Beowulf and their kingdoms
- We as a nation of Geats and Danes are doomed.
- Scene 5: Grendel's mother's head materialises from the swamp, terrifying both Geats and Danes, who scatter
- The end is upon us all!
- Scene 6: Beowulf appears in triumph, delighting all and uniting Geats and Danes in jubilation
- Rejoice for I have conquered this vile monster and freed Denmark from tyranny!
