How to make your Christingle!
Included in your Christingle package is:
You will need to get your own orange.
The orange represents the world which God made.
The candle represents the world's light, and that Jesus shines on even in the darkest night.
By Beatrix Bornholdt-Collins
The red ribbon tells the story of Jesus' cross and pain. There are four toothpicks to represent each season.
Part of the fun of making a Christingle is that you can eat some of the candy while you make it, which is why we've given you a bit of extra!
The candies show the fruits of the earth.
Start by cutting an X in the top of the orange and sticking the candle in.
The completed Christingle reminds us that the love of God is everywhere!
Next, take your piece of red ribbon and wrap it around the orange, securing it with four toothpicks at equal lengths around the orange.
Then put a piece of candy on each toothpick.(You can use your own candy too!)
Finally, light the candle during our Christmas Eve service at 4pm!
