Storyboard Text

  • This relates to heroic characteristics because Odysseus is showing how he has morals and has tried to uphold them. While physically he did give in to Calypso, he had no other choice but still tried to uphold his morals and remain faithful to his wife Penelope in his heart. Therefore, meaning he wouldn't cheat in his heart and keep her in it instead.
  • In my heart I never gave in to Calypso
  • This scene depicts the heroic trait of bravery because even after Odysseus was told that hearing the Sirens song would have him entranced, he still decided to listen. This means that Odysseus is fearless no matter what the obstacle in front of him might be. He knew that there was a possibility he might be captured by the Sirens if he jumped in the water while entranced. Yet he still decided to listen and risk it therefore showing bravery.
  • This scene shows the characteristic trait of being protective, brave, and selfless. This is because Circe has told Odysseus of how dangerous Scylla is and how men will die no matter what. Yet he puts his life on the line by standing in the front of the boat being the most vulnerable which represents his selflessness. Along with standing in the front Odysseus holds two heavy spears meaning he is ready to fight Scylla which shows his protectiveness and braveness.
