  • Rising Action
  • ok!
  • You'll be in the door on the left
  • Long ago, there lived a cruel king. The King had a beautiful daughter who was just like him. Something the king enjoyed doing was punishing people and he longed for a new way to fulfill his desire. One day he got the idea to have a public arena where the fate of a criminal was decided. There would be two doors to choose from. Behind one door stood a beautiful woman who the prisoner was to marry then and there. And behind the other door awaited a hungry tiger who ate the prisoner right away.
  • Climax
  • The Kings daughter, Charlotte, was in love with a commoner. She loved him very much. One day, the king found out about his daughters lover and he was furious. Immediately, the man was thrown in prison. His trial would take place in the arena.
  • Falling Action
  • I hope I did the right thing
  • The King found pleasure in knowing that his daughter could no longer be with the commoner. But Charlotte on the other hand, was devastated. Upon the arrival of the trial the princess had done what no one else could do. She figured out the secret of what awaited behind the doors.
  • Resolution
  • At last the dreaded day came. Princess Charlotte was trembling as the young man entered the arena. There was much commotion, so nobody in the arena saw what happened next. The young man stole a quick glance at the princess, for he was aware that she knew the secret. In that brief moment, the Princess quickly made a motion to the right.
  • The young man, feeling confident, made his way to the right. There was great silence among the crowd as he approached the door. Everyone was unsure of his fate. Trembling, the man slowly began pulling open the door...
  • I believe the tiger came out of the door because of the evidence the story provides. In the story, it states that the princess is just like her father. Since the King is cruel, I believe his daughter is as well. Also, I think she was overcome by jealousy of him marrying another woman, so she chose the door with the tiger.
