This is Patrick Henry! born may 29th, 1730. He became an American revolution-era orator. he served as governor of Virginia for 3 terms, and was offered many other high level positions after his terms were over. though he died in 1799, this man made great history.
as a young man, Henry sure went through some tough times. things like his family business dropping off, lack of success when he tried his hand at farming, and even loosing his house to a fire. But that never stopped his determination.
in 1760, he became a lawyer, and got his big break during the 1760's case "Parson's Cause.
Henry undeniably played a crucial part in the American revolution. He was not the type to be timid in the face of adversary, and was quite good in encouraging other's to see his point of view.Henry's most recognized piece of writing was his "give my liberty or, give me death" speech in march 1775 at the Virginia convention.
Though his first wife Sarah Shelton died, henry married another, Dorothea Dandridge later on, and had a total of 17 children! In his later years of life Henry decided to take it easy by go back to being a lawyer, and having more time with his awesome family.
Though Mr. Henry died at the age of 63, He made a huge impact on early America during his day, and great contributions to our history.
