  • One morning the busy doctor spoke to Sue alone in the hall, where Johnsy could not hear.
  • she's sleeping so I'm going paint the last leaf on the wall.
  • Winter approached, the weather got colder, Johnsy caught pneumonia & believed when the last leaf fell from the vine outside her window, she would die.
  • The chances are good. Give her good care, and she'll get well.
