- The first scene is where Parris discovers the girls in the forest. This is explained throughout the whole first act. This is important because it establishes the main conflict. The girls, led by Abigail, were caught dancing, which leads to rumors of witchcraft in Salem. This moment marks the beginning of tensions in the town.
- Slide: 2
- You loved me, John Proctor, and whatever sin it is you love me yet! John, pity me, pity me!
- The second scene the confrontation between Abigail and John Proctor. Here, the past relationship between Abigail and Proctor is revealed. This scene is important because it shows Abigail's feelings toward Proctor and her hate towards his wife.
- Slide: 3
- The third scene is where Tituba is forced confession. Under pressure Tituba confesses to having seen the devil and starts accusing others. This scene is crucial because it triggers the wave of witchcraft accusations, leading to chaos and hysteria in Salem.
