Storyboard Text

  • The floors, walls and ceiling were made entirely of obsidian and onyx bricks. Large torches decorated the walls, their flames crackling and flickering in the reflection of the shiny rock walls. In the middle of the room sat Queen Nea, dressed in a majestic royal blue gown and sitting in an equally fancy red velvet throne. Luna bowed deeply, awaiting the great offering she felt she was entitled to receive. But after a few minutes of silence, the knight looked up to see the Queen’s icy cold glare pierce into her.
  • Let me explain. You will not be getting your gift. You are not worthy of it.
  • Wha--?
  • You missed the magical armour I had hidden inside the evil willow tree, the enchanted conch shell that trapped the sea nymph, and you ignored my direct instructions in the garden, making its condition even worse. You do not deserve to be a Royal Guard.
  • Stop. You are ignorant and rush through everything. You were supposed to be the best, but this proves you are not.
  • Along the way, you have constantly prioritised how fast you do something, not how well.
  • You are now banished from the knight ship, and you will now work cleaning up after animals in the kingdom’s stables for the rest of your career. Enjoy.
  • I was going to be a Royal Guard?!
  • As she was dragged out by the guards, the Queen called out; “Remember: Skill is more important than speed. A job not well done, is just as good as a job not done at all.”
