- The wife lost her job because the company she works for is going into the depression stage of the business cycle. When employment rates are high but the demand is low they can go into a depression stage.

- Son mom just lost her job so we need to save money. Clothes are a need but the specific clothes you just asked about are a want. I can get you clothes from Walmart.
- Dad, can I get the newest Nike shoes and the new track shoot
- A want is a something you could live without but a need is something you need to live,

- I have been doing some research on supply and demand. A reason we went to the bottom of the business cycle is our supply was low but the demand was high so we couldn't keep up. The business is failing
- When the demand is high but you don't have the supply you want to raise your prices but when the demand is low and you have a lot of supply you want to lower your prices
