Im from North Korea and since we have a command market the government has complete control on what is sold. What is it like in the United States?
Here in the USA we have a free market, so the producer is in control of what is sold and for how much.
So how is money distributed fairly to everyone?
Oh wow, everyone in North Korea has the same amount of money no matter what, including a job.
It is not. You have to earn the money by working. This is why our homeless population is so high along with the wealth gaps.
Since you have to earn the money here by yourself, I want to be rich. Can I start my own private buisness?
Yes, you even get to decide what the services or goods that are going to be provided to the consumers along with the price.
No the government chose for us and we werent allowed to quit or get fired, all they cared about is that we were making income, but at least everyone had a job.
Were you able to pick the job you wanted while you lived there or did the government pick it for you?
Does the government support the less fortunate and homeless?
That is one nice thing about a command economy, everyone has jobs and an income.
Kind of, they just help with the basic needs to live like food stamps. Unlike a command economy we don't have jobs for everyone so there is a lot of unemployment.
Over in North Korea, the government decided what to produce, and for whom to produce, and you can't start your own buissness over there.
Yea we don't have any economic freedom but it didn't seem like an issue, but now I see how free and creative it is here, and I am so glad I moved here.
I can't imagine not being able to start your own buisness in the United States. Thats how most people get rich.
