- Edward: Did you knowthat more and more people are abusing drugs, and alcohol?
- Jessi: Yes, I'm aware that it's escalating fast every year, including teens!
- Edward: It just doesn't make sense as to why people keep continuing to abuse substances, even though it can cause severe damage to the human body!?
- Jessi: Well you see the main problem is that there's a lot of incorrect information out there about drugs, meaning teens don't know the true effects.
- Edward: Ohh yeaah! You make a good point, but there's another thing that can cause someone to feel the need to use substances.
- Edward: Per pressure of course, feeling like you have to do it to fit in or be cool, or try to impress someone!
- Jessi: Yeahh, I get that many teens just want to fit in, they feel like they can't stand up for themselves.
- Jessi: Which would be?
- Edward: Honestly one of the biggest concerns of drugs is a bigger chance of getting a chronic illness.
- Jessi: Oh wow! I didn't know of that, but there's also many more side effects than just that. One of those being able to control your life, being able to do your own things.
- Edward: Oh wow! I had no idea, thanks for telling me.
- Chris: Of course, anytime.
