  • Act 9:1-30
  • High Priest, I will deliver your letters that need to go to the synagogues in Damascus. All the followers of Jesus I come across on my way there will become prisoners in Jerusalem. I will make sure of it.
  • Okay Saul. I will give you my letters. You are doing great deeds.
  • With the letters Saul got from the High Priest, he was on his way to Damascus...
  • Saul is nearing Damascus and lights start flashing all around him. He falls to the ground...
  • J-Jesus...
  • Saul, why do you persecute me, Jesus?Now stand and continue onto Damascus, for then I will tell you what you are to do.
  • When Saul stood up, he was blind and could not see anything. However, he still needed to go to the city as Jesus told him to...
  • So the now very confused men Saul was making his journey with helped lead Saul to the city of Damascus...
  • In Damascus, Jesus came to one of his disciples: Ananias...
  • Ananias, go to the house of Judas and ask for a man, Saul from Tarsus. You will find him praying. I need you to go there and place you hands on him to restore his vision: I sent him a vision of you doing this.
  • He has been chosen to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. Do as I say Ananias, for it has to be done.
  • But Lord... He has come here to harm you and the people of Jerusalem, has he not?
  • Without question, Ananias did as he was told: he went to the house of Judas...
  • Ananias enters the house of Judas to find Saul, who has now been blind and without food for water for three days, praying...
  • Saul, I have been sent here by Jesus. He blinded you on your way to the city, and now I am here to fulfill the vision he sent you. I will lay my hand on you, and given the power of the Lord, you will be able to see once again.
  • As soon as Ananias laid his hand on Saul, Saul started to regain his sight. Immediately#160;after this miracle, he went to be baptized. He even started preaching of Jesus at Synagogues.
  • Jews began to grow mad with Saul for his preaching's, so they decided to plan his murder. However, Saul found out about their plan and was able to escape to Jerusalem. While there, he tried to join the disciples, but the disciples did not believe him due to his past. Barnabas came to the aid of Saul and brought him straight to the apostles...
  • Apostles, may I introduce you to a new found follower of Jesus. His name is Saul, and his story may surprise you...
  • Barnabas told the apostles all about Saul's journey and how Jesus came to him, which ultimately#160;landed him there in front of them. After learning his story, Saul stayed with the apostles for some time and continued to preach about Jesus. However, Saul's time with the apostles was cut short when there was another attempt#160;on his life. In hopes to keep him safe, he was sent off to Tarsus. And the rest is history...
