- in the meantime pony and Johnny run away to an abandoned church. they go out to get some food but come back to the church on fire. and being the hero's they are, they go in to save the kids. but Johnny gets burned and hurt pretty badly.
- pony ,dally, darry, soda, Johnny, two-bit, and Steve all lived on the west side of a small town in Oklahoma. that's where most of the deadbeats live. they were all part of a gang called the greasers. there was another gang called the soc's. they lived on the west side of town. that's where the rich privledged kids live. And no, they don't get along.
- CLIMAX
- while at the drive in movies, pony and Johnny meet a girl named cherry along with her other friends. they were all apart of the soc's. and surprisingly they all get along, coming from opposite gangs. there were also gangs at the theatre.
- FALLING ACTION
- on the way back from the movies, pony get's jumped by 5 greasers. pony get's a knife pulled out on him. but before anything else could happen to pony his older brothers and the greasers showed up and chase the soc's away.) later on, soc's get revenge on pony and johnny, they pull up and start beating pony bad. johnny is just fighting them in self-defence,but while doing so johnny kills one of them which just get's them in even more trouble.then the police get involved. and holding them accounted for murder.
- RESOLUTION
- after the fire incident, Johnny dies from the severe injuries he got. this affects the whole gang but especially dally considering how close they were. dally couldn't handle it anymore so he decided to rob a store, then pulls a gun on the police which are tying to arrest him but ends up getting shot and dead.
- pony is sick in bed with grief for a while. he is very stressed and overwhelmed with the amount of loss in his life. pony then get's a random visitor from a soc named randy. that then tells pony about the court and the judge.
- the judge decides that pony and the kids can stay together at their house while being raised by pony's older brother darry. the judge also decides their innocent because of self- defense.
