This measures the total number of people living in an area. If a geographer wanted to move to a more rural area then they would move somewhere with a higher arithmetic density. Also if a place has a lower arithmetic density it has less people so its less populated.
This measures the number of people per unit area of arable land. If the physiological density is higher then there are more people and more arable land. If a geographer is looking for a place to learn about farms and farmers they'd move somewhere with a higher physiological density.
This measures the number of farmers specifically on each unit of farmland . This tells us how little or how many farmers are on one piece of farmland in a country. A geography would use this when he needed somewhere with lots or little of farmers in comparison to arable land.
