- One of my college professors used to work in this company, and when I was looking for a new job he offered to write me a recommendation for this job.
- Hi, I'm here for the interview for marketing director!
- Welcome... Ally! I'm Ruth. So tell me, how did you hear about this job?
- I have been involved with business and marketing for most of my life. My parents were entrepreneurs so from a young age I was learning how business worked. I earned my bachelor's degree in marketing at NYU Stern School of Business.
- Fantastic! Let's start out with you telling me a little bit about yourself.
- I think some of my soft skills are communication, creativity, and work rate and my hard skills include collecting market research and marketing plans as well as creating presentations.
- Those are very valuable skills to have for this position. Let's see some of the office, shall we?
- Amazing! What strengths do you have that will help you in this position?
- What’s your favorite part about working here?
- What types of skills are you looking to fill with a new hire?
- Lately we have been lacking on creativity. We need a young perspective to broaden out customer base.
- Probably the variety of tasks/jobs. Even though we are in marketing, it goes hand in hand with advertising, and sometimes you might go on a sales call.
- Okay final question... tell me about a failure you overcame.

- Well when I was in high school, my parent’s business when through a rough patch. I used my skills to create budget plans for them and hand made advertisements to hand out at school. My the time I left for college, they were back in business with new products and customers.
