Lost Colonist Theory: Went To Croatoan Island And Died At Sea
Storyboard Text
- CROATOAN
- After a long time of waiting for Governor White to bring back resources, the colonists decided to pack up what they had and go to Croatoan Island which is why they carved their destination on the tree as prompted by Governor White.
- The colonists packed up the very little they had and set off to Croatoan Island. They weren't sure how long it would take them to get there or if they'd even survive the trip but they knew they had to do something fast.
- The colonists looked over the map to try and determine which direction to go to safely but quickly reach Croatoan Island. They weren't 100% sure which way to go since they were so hungry they couldn't think well enough to fully flesh out a plan.
- The travel was going to be long, at least long for them. They had to ration their supplies so it would be enough to last the whole way there. They were left with very little food to eat and eventually none at all.
- After a while, they were so tired from malnourishment and dehydration that they just started drifting at sea just hoping to come across the island as they had planned from the beginning.
- Unfortunately, they didn't reach the island and ended up drifting at sea until they eventually died due to malnourishment.
