- Battle of Camden
- The Battle of Camden boosted British morale and lowered that of the Patriots. The reason for this great loss was because of the mistakes made under command of Horatio Gates. Because of his lack of judgement the Patriots suffered a huge loss and the British began to send troops to invade and take control of the south.
- Battle of Kings Mountain
- The Battle of Kings Mountain was one of the major turning points when it came to the succession of America from British rule. Due to the experience of the Americans in the rocky terrain they were able to easily overcome any geographical obstacles that severely impaired the British troops. Because of these things the British lost the war by a great number.
- Battle of Cowpens
- This battle was one of the major turning points in the British's confidence in winning over the south. Because of the massive number of supplies and materials kept in the south, the British instantly targeted the south. The British were very sure that they would easily win over the south but they had underestimated the Patriot militia. As a result they were destroyed by the Patriots and ultimately led to their loss of America.
