- Oh, I am Chief Joseph, one of Nez Perce's leaders, but don't worry, anything can't scare me anymore. The worst has already happened.
- Hello, is anyone here?
- Hey, it's just me, Patrick Henry, first Virginia governor, sorry if I scared you.
- White men destroyed my life because of their greed. They wanted to start a war with our tribe, but I decided to surrender before more of our lives were taken. We aren´t free, but at least we are still alive.
- Wao, that is unfortunate. I had a similar situation once, but I preferred to fight and start a war.
- What do you mean?
- I understand, but I don’t see liberty as valuable as my loved ones safety, so I preferred the white man to control us, than sacrificing our people’s lives.
- Well, I think that it’s better to risk and try because, if it works, the future generations will be free and see us as heroes.
- Not at all, because they will never experience the fullness of life if they become slaves. Therefore, after sacrificing and winning, everyone gets a common good.
- Maybe, but don’t you think that it is unfair for the innocents that are going to be affected by that huge sacrifice?

- And what is freedom without your loved ones?
- Maybe it would be lonely, but for me and my people is liberty or death.
- I don’t regret anything. If we had decided to not fight, we will be slaves without rights for ever. After all, what is life without freedom?
