- "The Republic’s favorite little prodigy is in trouble again."Poor little rich girl, with her posh manners. She can afford to dislike food. I scold myself in silence, then make a mental note to tread more carefully next time. This is the rich sector of the republic where one of the main characters lives whos rich and is a prodgy.

- "My family thinks I’m dead except for my older brother John. It’s best for them if everyone thinks I’m dead. I’ve been on the run for the last six years trying to survive. The Republic has a warrant out for my arrest for assault, arson, theft, and vandalism of military property. I move with the shadows so no one can find me. They are at my house and they have marked my house with a strange red X to show that someone had the plague.." This is about the other character day who is a prodigy but since he is poor he cold never attend school and has run away from his family to protect them because he steals for their survival.
- Falling Action
- June, I didn't kill your brother. The Republic is creating the plagues and making everyone sick and they are killing kids who fail the trial.
- "I have to get a cure for Eden and my family. I broke into the hospital to get a cure but all I was able to find were suppressants. As I was trying to escape, I ran into Captain Metias. I thought the had caught me, but I was able to get away by throwing my knife into his shoulder." Except it was released that Metias was stabbed in the heart and I’m the suspect. AFter he was stealing to save his little brother from the plegue.
- Resolution
- "Metias’ sister June has found a way to get close to Tess and I and have led the Republic to my family’s house. The Republic has killed my mother and has taken John and my younger brother Eden away. They have finally arrested me for my crimes and will execute me." After the cps found Day's family to lure him there they took him prisoner and killed his mom.
- "The Republic has set my execution date for December 27th at 6 pm. June thinks I killed her brother, but I didn’t. I must convince June that I didn’t kill him. While in confinement, I told June that the Republic was creating the plagues with the matching cures. I also told her that whoever failed the exams were being murdered and wasn’t being sent to a camp to work." AFter being captured he is taken to prison to get integrated for a murder he did not commit and for other crimes.
- "June found the evidence trail Metias left her including the fact that the Republic killed her parents, they were also killing kids, and infecting people with the plague. June decided to work with Kaede and the Patriot’s to plan my escape. They were successful, but in the process, my brother John sacrificed himself to ensure that I escaped. Now June and I are being hunted…" June finds out who really killed her brother and frees Day from prion.
