  • Of Course hun! It is important to realize how young she was when she joined the "Children Crusade. She was only in 3rd grade.
  • 
  • Hey Mom! Can you tell me the story of Audrey Faye Hendricks? I need it for class.
  • Her church was very involved with any movement for their community. Her mother was also the assistant secretary for the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights.

  • Audrey was then introduced to many movements that involved children. Aubrey then decided to join. 
  • During the marches and rides to the jails, the Children would sing gospel songs to keep them calm and happy.
  • The kids marched from the church, to the park, and all over town. But soon enough the cops were called to arrest the kids. 
  • Aubrey was in jail for 7 days and would constantly get questioned by the police. She also had to share a room with 12 other girls.
  • After 7 days, Aubrey was reunited with her family. Her family was extremely proud of her for being so strong and for being apart of the movement.
