- In the 17 centuries along with Portugal other Europeans countries colonized the coast of Africa.These countries were motivated by a desire to expand their territories, increase their wealth, and gain access to Africa's resources. They established trading posts and forts along the coast of Africa, which allowed them to control trade and exert influence over the local populations. The slave trade was also a significant part of European colonization in Africa during this time, and millions of Africans were taken from their homes and taken to the Americas to be slaves.
- VOC( the Dutch east India) settled in south Africa where they meet a tribe called the khoikhoi. later the settlement grew its territory and took over the land of the khoikhoi, when there was a lack of labor the Dutch east India imported slaves from Indonesia Asia . Madagascar, Mozambique
- enslaved people were regarded and treated as property with little zero rights. In many colonies, enslaved people could not testify in court, gather in large groups, or live their life as they please as their natural born rights are taken away from them.
