  • In the colonies, slavery was a widespread behavior to keep up with the demand of cotton and indigo. Slavery was compatible because of the long growing seasons and rich soil the area had to offer. In this region, most of the colonists were Catholics, and there weren't many options in the colonies when it came to religion.
  • Slide: 2
  • Commonly called the "Breadbasket" the middle colonies had mild enough weather to make an abundance of wheat and other bread crops. The Middle colonies were very welcoming to others, which was why their religion was very mixed, since everyone was free to participate in what they believed in, regardless of skin color or ethnicity. The Middle colonies was by far the most diverse of the 3 regions

  • In the New England colonies, people commonly would fish and whale to make profit since the soil was not good enough for making crops. They were solely Puritans, not at all open to people of different religions. The church ran the government, and the noblemen were mainly in control of things
