- The sheriff gave us some comforting yet surprising news.
- They all talked some more about what is to come. Soon the sheriff left and only Atticus, Boo, and I were remaining.
- Hey Boo, let's go see Jem.
- Let's call him Mr. Arthur, not Boo.
- Sorry... Mr. Arthur.
- After we visited Jem, I led Boo back to his house. That was the last time I ever saw Boo Radley.
- It's okay, you can pet him.

- Tom was put in jail, all we could do now was wait for the appeal. But then, we heard terrible news...
- I can't believe that the jury decided he was guilty! I'm so shocked!
- Tom Robinson is... GUILTY!
- Calpurnia, I want you to come with me to the Robinsons' house.
- Oh my!
- Why? What happened?
- Seventeen bullets hit him. Tom's dead. We have to break the news to his wife Helen, and his three kids.

- As I stood near the Radley door I figured out some important facts about Boo.
- I went back home and saw Atticus sitting with Jem.
- Hey, are you staying for the entire night?
- I fell asleep peacefully, knowing that there will always be prejudice, but at the same time there will also be justice.
- I'll stay for a few hours, or until he wakes up.
