The Indiscriminate Stage- 2-7 months Babies are more social and do not display stranger anxiety, they show a preference for people rather than objects. They accept comfort from anyone, therefore are said to be indiscriminate.

I dont know this person but I want to play with them. I prefer people to my toys
Specific Attachments- 7-12 monthsBabies start to display separation anxiety from their primary attachment. They show signs of stranger anxiety when left in the presence of someone they don't recognise. Babies have learnt to specifically attach to the person who responds best to their needs
This is my mum. I love being with her the most because she knows how to make me feel better when I get sad. I get really upset when she leaves me by myself
