- Here is the coat!
- Stacey gets a new church coat from Mr. Hammer. He wears it to church and T.J. Makes fun of him. Stacey gets mad and gives it to T.J. Stacey goes home and gets in trouble.
- LillianJean was bossing Cassie around because of her color. Cassie brought her in the woods and through her books down. They started fighting and Cassie won. She told LillianJean not to tell anyone.
- Don't you dare tell anyone about this
- You were so sweet though
- Mr. Morrison, papa, and Stacey went on a wagon. Wheel fell off and papa told Stacey to hold Jack. Mr. Morrison and papa were fixing the wheel when Mr. Granger and other men came. They shot paper in the leg. Jack freaked out and Stacey couldn't hang on to him. Stacey let go and the wagon fell on papa.
- It isn't your fault
- I should have held on to Jack.
- You should have moved you coat!
- The Logan kids and Mr.Morrion go to Little Willy;s house. On the way back a red pick up pulls up. The Logan kids hide and Mr.Morrison ask to move the truck because it is in the way. He doesn't move it so Mr. Morrison picks it up and moves it.
- wow!!
- R.W. and Melvin hurt T.J. He goes to the Logan's house and asks them to take him home. T.J. doesn't want their dad to know. The Logan brings him home.
- I will help you get home
- Papa starts a fire on the cotton. Mama and Big Ma didn't know it was him and thought it was lighting. Mama tells the Logan kids to stay on the porch. They listen. Mama and Big Ma get buckets and try to take it out.
- we have to take the fire out!
