Why do I have to be gay?,well iat least I did many things and contributed a lot
Colonists were super tired of British rules, they believed that their problems with Britain couldn’t be solved peacefully,so they decided to prepare to fight. They formed groups of soldiers called minutemen. After a short fight, the British moved on to Concord. Another group of American soldiers forced them to turn back. The Battles of Lexington and Concord began the American Revolution.
WE MADE IT!FINALLY!
The Second Continental Congress met in Philadelphia in May 1775. It brought together the military forces of the colonies to form the Continental Army. It put George Washington in charge of the army. Washington spent months preparing his troops for battle.
I officialy declare United States an independent country, congrats!
George Washington .This Patriot was Commander in Chief of the Colonial Army. He led the American army to victory over British army using various innovative strategies like creating a secret spy network, creating a smallpox inoculation at Valley Forge, welcoming in Baron Von Steuben and making him a Major General that trained American forces after he had been exiled from the Prussian military for being gay, and utilizing Guerrilla Warfare tactics
Colonists wanted to get Britain to do something about their complaints. The war was spreading and more colonists thought that they had to separate from Britain. Then on July 4,1776,the Continental Congress approved the Declaration of Independence, this document made the 13 colonies become the United States of America.
In the last years of the war most of the fighting took place in the South. In 1780 the British, led by General Charles Cornwallis, won battles in South Carolina. The peace treaty was signed on September 3, 1783, in Paris, France. It was called the Treaty of Paris. By signing the treaty, Britain agreed that the United States was an independent country.Thomas Jefferson was the main author of the Declaration of Independence and served as a delegate to the Second Continental Congress
