- Slavery may benefit you, but its still wrong. this why us Northerners vote for it to not expand. Its inhumane.
- Well it doesn't matter what Northerners OR Southerners want, the new states get to decided by popular sovereignty if they're free or slave . John C. Calhoun realized this, why can't you?
- We won't give up. Henry Clay may have planned it out for popular sovereignty, but a peaceful compromise won't work...! Mark my words, Southerner!

- The only reason you may win is because of our President. Lincoln didn't even campaign here and still won!
- Ha! Proof that us Northerners have more political power! President Lincoln already said he wouldn't abolish slavery completely, though!
- Actions speak louder than words! I heard South Carolina has already called a meeting to cede from the Union, which isn't a good thing for you!

- Also, since most Southerners were men, women had slightly more freedom. Women would manage farms when men we're away. They also helped make connections and take care of the slaves.
- Though, indentured servants and slave women we're often treated horribly by their male masters.
