- " He liked my shoes; I would not let him have them."(Wiesel 73 ). This shows man vas man because the one guy wanted his shoes. Also this shows man vs man because later he gets his shoes taken away from him in exchange for nothing.

- "Smack in the middle of the road, two cauldrons of soup with no one to guard them."(Wiesel 84). This shows man vs self because everyone had to fight the urge to eat the soup. Also this shows man vs self because no matter how badly they wanted the soup they could not eat it and had to fight their selves because they knew they would get punished
- Man Vs God
- "Never shall I forget those moments which murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to dust" (Wiesel 59). This shows man vs god because people were starting to lose faith in god. Also, people were getting mad and thought god chose not to help them
- "An Icy wind was blowing violently(Wiesel 85). This shows man vs nature because it shows how they were fighting the cold. Also, this shows man vs nature because it shows how bad the conditions were and how they had to push through it.

- "One day all foreign Jews were expelled from sight. And Moshie the Beatle was a foreigner."(Wiesel 6). This shows man vs society because you were not aloud to be in a certain place if you weren't from there. Also this shows man vs society because Jews had to fight society which a lot of it believed they were bad people
