- A filibuster is a person who wages an unofficial war on a country. Filibusters act for their benefit. They do not carry out the plan of any government
- In August 1813 the republican Army battled Spanish forces south of San Antonio near the Medina River. Commanded by General Joaquin de Arredondo, the Spanish overwhelmed the Republican army and won a complete victory. Most of the rebels were killed in combat and others were killed after surrendering
- It provided Mexico independence and treated them more fairly it also made Mexico its own state
