- Our economy is based off agriculture, especially cotton, corn, vegetables, grain, fruit, and livestock. Tobacco is our main cash-crop. We have the largest slave population and live on plantations.

- The House of Burgesses was the elected representative element of the Virginia General Assembly, the legislative body of the Colony of Virginia.
- SOUTHERN COLONIES- POLITICS
- Rural plantation life provided a grand existence of stately manors and secluded living, Neighbors were miles away and there were very few cities.
- SOUTHERN COLONIES- SOCIAL
- Our economy is based upon climate and geography. We also enjoy the benefits of a coastal economy like fishing, whaling, and shipbuilding
- NEW ENGLAND COLONIES- ECONOMICS
- We are mostly Puritans who elect our own legislature called the Mayflower Compact

- NEW ENGLAND COLONIES- SOCIAL
- Religion is a very large part of our lives. Many of the first colonies were settled primarily for religious freedom. and escape persecution.
