- Good day everyone. I am Lyca May Santos from BSAIS 2BThis Storyboard is about the Evolution of Philippine Taxation
- Taxation in the Philippines during the Spanish Colonial Period has Galleon Trade and the Filipino men were obliged to serve which results to deaths
- TAXATION DURING SPANISH ERA
- Americans aimed to make the economy self-sufficient by running the government with the possible sum revenue and create surplus in the budget. They also implemented the land tax.
- Taxation Under the Americans
- In 1973, the Cedula Tax was abolished which prepared to be a progressive move. In 1939, the Commonwealth drafted the National Internal Revenue Code which introduce major changes in the new tax system.
- Taxation during the Commonwealth Period
- A major reform in the tax system was introduced under the Aquino term. Under the Arroyo's regime, the Value added Tax (E-VAT) was signed (RA 9337)
- Fiscal Policy from 1946 to Present
- And under Duterte's administration, he vowed to lower the income tax rates. The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) is also implemented.
