Storyboard Text

  • Act 4, Scene 1
  • "These many, then. shall die; their names are pricked"
  • Act 4, Scene 1
  • "You may do your will; But he's a tried and valiant soldier"
  • Act 4, Scene 2
  • "What shall one of us, that struck the struck the foremost man of the world / But for supporting robbers, shall we now / Contaminate our fingers with base bribes"
  • Antony, Octavius, and Lepidus have united together in a counter-conspiracy to destroy the men who killed Caesar. Antony has a list of names on a piece of paper including the brother of Lepidus and the son of Mark Antony's sisters.
  • Act 4, Scene 2
  • "Portia, art thou gone?"
  • Antony sends Lepidus to Caesar's house to get his will in hopes to reduce the amount of money needed to pay the beneficiaries.

  • Brutus and Cassius arrive with their army's in Sardis. Cassius is upset that Brutus publicly disgraced a friend of his for taking bribes from the Sardians. Then, Brutus makes them go into a tent so no one can hear them. This ends with each man convinced he's better at leading an army than the other.
  • Act 4, Scene 2
  • "Thy evil spirit, Brutus"
  • Brutus tells Cassius that Portia is dead. He is amazed by this news. Brutus explains that she was upset Octavius and Antony had seized control of Rome so she swallowed love embers and killed herself. Brutus then tells him to not speak of her anymore.
  • Brutus and Messala compare letters they have recieved telling them Antony and Octavius are marching towards them. Messela tells Brutus that over 100 senetors have been put to death, but Brutus says his letter only included seventy. Messela then ask Brutus if he's heard anything about Portis and he acts clueless.
  • As Brutus is reading a book, the ghost of Julius Caesar appears. Brutus asks the ghost why he has come, and is told that the ghost will see him again in Philippi. The ghost leaves, and Brutus immediately wakes up everyone else in the room. He tells people to inform Cassius that he should take his army and march ahead.
