- A LIMITED GOVERNMENT consists of a Constitution (to act as a rule book), Rule of Law (to ensure that order is enforced on everyone), Separation of Powers (so not one branch of government becomes to powerful), Consent of the Governed (so people have a voice in their government), Rights of the Minority (to protect small groups and allow their voices to be heard.)In the 1990s, people of Peru elected leader Fujimori so he would fulfill his promise of lessening debt in Peru. His actions were as followed.
- You suck Fujimori!
- Fujimori was unsuccessful with solving the Peru economy crisis. His actions turned dirty, interfering with elections and doing whathe wanted. When Congress ordered that he obeyed the Constitution he resolved Congress and tear gassed them when meeting.
- Fujimori's actions violated The Consent of the Governed when interfering with elections, Rights of the Minority when he ignored the rights of suspected terrorists, Seperation of Power when he dissolved Congress, the Constitution and Rule of Laws.
- Fujimori was sentenced to a total of 31 years in prison. Dignity in Peru was restored and a LIMITED GOVERNMENT has since been reestablished.
- Fujimori had absolute power. He dealt with terrorists and solved most of the financial crisis in Peru. But not all was good.News got out that his government officials was dealing drugs, stealing money and selling weapons to terrorists. Plus, Fujimori had no judges for convicted terrorists.As innocent lives were jailed/executed, Fujimori fled to Japan in an act of cowardice.
