  • we continued through the catiacombs full of bones and dispare. Montersor revealed to me that he was a mason. I was astounded! I would have never thought that someone such lower than me counld be a mason.

  • we had then arrived the the most remote part of the catacomb. Montresor continued to lead me to the Amontiago. I was so anxious to get to the bottom of this. Montresor began speaking of the Luchesi nonsense. I became supicious as i crossed the wall.

  • Montersor asked for my hand over the wall but i could not help feeling the nire. After i lended him he hand he left me! I was almost astonished to unbelief. I inquired about the Amontiago and he replied to me of if he already made up his mind. I begged and pleaded for my life in vein. I spent my lost breath begging for mercy.
