Storyboard Text

  • Well actually there is something called mnemonics
  • Oh my oh goodness. If only there was a way to encode information in my brain!
  • Mnemonics is a learning technique where we associate on object with anther and develop a system based on those
  • What a quaint way to study! Now what about where the memories for that system are stored?
  • Well it depends, directional and mapped memories reside in the hippocampus. However many regular memories stay in the neocortex or cerebellum. Each time we access a memory we alter it!
  • OH MY! HOW TRULY AMAZING! I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT THIS KNOWLEDGE
  • The brain revisits pathways formed during encoding and storage
  • So we alter memories when we retrieve them! But how do we retrieve them in the first place?
  • While revisiting these pathways, the brain pieces together scattered pieces of information. Occasionally we mispiece information, and that is why we incorrectly rember some stuff
  • Ahhhh I understand. Now how do I get rid of this information?
  • Well information is invaluable, so we should always try to remember as much as we can. However the brain will dump out information deemed unneeded or unimportant
  • I am pleasantly relieved to know that I will promptly forget this information
