- she discovered that I was literate and looked at me with more than a faint distaste. Miss caroline told me to tell my father ot to teach me any more , it would interfere with my reading.
- "teach me?" said in surprise, " He hasn't taught me anything Miss Caroline..."

- Ms. Caroline became very angry when she found out that Scout can already read when the other kids in her class still can't. She said that Atticus was wrong for teaching her how to read and that he was interrupting her learning process. She then tried to explain how Atticus hadn't taught her how to read and that it only came naturally after listening to him for so long. Ms. Caroline accused her of lying and struck her.

- Scout gets extremely angry when Cecil Jacobs makes fun of Atticus for defending a black man ( Tom Robinson ) calling him an n-lover and such. Even though Scout is angry she resists fighting him because she wants to obey her Father. He then continues to make fun of the fact she's walking away from a fight and calls her a coward.
- Cousin Francis said they Atticus was an embarrassment to the Finch name, said that Atticus was an n-lover and she beat him up. Uncle JAck then came in reply to Francis' stupid crying. He then punished Scout without hearing her reasoning behind the fight. Aunt Caroline got involved and yelled at scout.
- when I was in the fifth grade and got yelled at by my teacher for using long division instead of the box method
- I keep my composure and don't attack Heidi during class after she has thrown a million things at me that are either hard or dirty/messy.
- So my sister has special needs (down syndrome and high functioning autism) and when I was about 8 years old there was this boy at the pool who was making fun of the way she looked, the sounds she makes, and her tendency to attack people. I am very sensitive about my sister. I released my sister on him and he had to get stitches in his arm from where she bit him, plus I gave him a black eye. (and this is off topic but I saw him in the grocery store like 6 months ago and it was really awkward.)
