  • Before Jason Pierre was fighting for Haiti's independence, he was attacking his owner. Slaves were attacking their owners since they wanted to be free.
  • The Constitution of Haiti
  • The constitution was good because it officialy abolished slavery in Haiti.
  • The constitution was bad because it put Toussaint in power until the end of his life.
  • Toussaint decided to ally with France. Jason Pierre later came and joined him in France.

  • The Haitian Revolution continues with more shootings and more killings. Jason Pierre was calling the attacks along with Toussaint for France.

  • I, Jason Pierre declare independence for Haiti on January 1st 1804!!!
  • In 1801, Toussaint made a constitution for Haiti. It abolished slavery, it put in place a multiracial society, and it even made Toussaint governor for life.
  • Napoleon conquers countries while Toussaint gets arrested and dies. Jason Pierre thought he would come back but he never did. He died in Fort de Joux in 1803 and never saw the freedom of Haiti. Jason Pierre had to do all the rest fighting with a new general.

  • Haiti finally gets their independence after being in war for nearly 13 years with France and Spain! After fighting in the Haitian revolution, Jason Pierre called it quits and lived a quiet rest of his life.
