Fallopian Tube (Fertilization)
The Ova (The human egg) only lives for 24 hours. Once the sperm reaches the Ova, it makes it so no other can penetrate the egg. The head of the sperm explodes, in order to penetrate the outer coat.
The Zygote (Union of the sperm and egg) travels down the Fallopian Tube and towards the uterus. On day 4, the tiny bundle of cells is called "Blastocyst."
Uterus (Implantation)
5 days later, the embryo breaks out of the protective shell and implants itself to the uterus wall and begins growing.
