The climax in this story is when the narrator decides to unalive the old man because he really hates his ¨falcon eye,¨ and when he cleans up the crime scene. - Falling Action is when the story starts to wrap up. The falling action in the story is when the police show up after getting a report from his neighbor saying that they heard a scream. A quote in the story is when he states, ¨I dmiled and invited them in. The scream, I said, was my own.¨

- Resolution is the outcome of the conflict. The resolution in the story is when the narrator confesses about the crime he commited. A qoute from the story is when it states, ¨Villians!¨ I screamed. ¨Enough! I admit the deed! Tear up the planks! Here, here! It is the beating of his hideous heart!¨
