- Creation of Zionism | 1897
- Lets call it Zionism!
- The Middle East needs a movement for the Jewish to have their homeland.
- Balfour Declaration | 1917
- This declaration will promise the support of England to making a Jewish land in Palestine.
- Partitioning the Ottoman Empire | 1918-1922
- So its a deal, we will split this land without knowing how it will affect the people who will live there!
- Zionism is a movement that motivated the creation of land in Palestine for the Jewish. Theodor Herzl created Zionism in 1897. This was a headstart for establishing land for Jews.
- Ottoman Empire Officially Falls | 1922
- Arthur Balfour wrote the Balfour Declaration in 1917 to support the creation of a land for the Jewish in Palestine.
- Anti-Semitism Rises | 1923-1940

- During the downfall of the Ottoman Empire, France and England partitioned land into the countries we know as:Bulgaria, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and the Palestinian territories, Macedonia, Romania, Syria, parts of Saudi Arabia. Although, they didn't think about how this would affect religious groups and how it would start conflict in the Middle East.
- Holocaust | 1941-1945
- After the Ottoman Empire sided with the Central Powers during World War One, it collapsed. Mehmed VI was the last Sultan for the Ottoman Empire. (Him walking out of the empire for good on November 1 1922.)
- During the rise of anti-semitism, more schools started to reject education for Jews, rejected if they could own property, and many faced discrimination daily.
- But why...?
- The Holocaust was a very catastrophic event. When Hitler was Germany's dictator, he believed Jews were a inferior race, and this is how the holocaust started. During the Holocaust, more than 6 million Jews were killed. The Jewish were locked up in ghettos (usually a small town with barbed fence around it). After being starved in ghettos, they would be sent to camps where they were told they would be safer. It wasnt any safer, because there Nazi's would kill in the Jews in a gas camber or starve them dead. Although some escaped, some didn't.
