- Maddie was born into a Viking family. It was a chilly fall day. She was born outside her Viking longhouse.

- Maddie is getting tired of farming. She is losing too much weight because of overexerting herself. She is getting lots of sunburns as well.

- Maddie leaves Scandinavia farming with family. They go to raid with other Vikings. They have to leave the rest of their friends and family.

- Maddie and her family came on a longship and raided a boat that was passing by. They capture several people to make them into their future slaves. They are all ugly so Maddie does not have any interest in marrying them.
- Maddie and her family raid a monastery. They have several valuable items that they plan to bring home. They also rounded up a few slaves.

- Maddie and her family returned to Scandinavia with their richest. They were crowned royal family. After Maddie’s mother died, Maddie became queen of Scandinavia and her name was passed on in sagas forever.
