Hey Teacher, we're wondering if you could help us have a better understanding about Newtons's laws.. we're still confused about what theses laws are
Of course I can help you guys! First lets look at the 1st law. The 1st law is that an object at rest will stay at rest, and an object in motion will stay in motion at constant velocity, unless acted upon an unbalence force.
Another thing is that this unbalenced force is what we call friction... When an object is in motion it will stop because of the friction on the ground.. Friction is a force that acts in the oppsite direction of an object's movemnet.
I see you look a bit confused but to put this easier the 1st law is saying that if an object is not moving it will contiune to stay like that, unless something with greater interia hits the object which causes the object to start moving at a constant velocity unless an unbalence force takes in place and stops the object.
Interia is the matter that can cause something to resist changes in its velocity
