  • First off I want to say that E.S. is the study of the interaction of humans with the natual enviorment
  • Hi, I'm here today to tell you somethings about what Iv'e learned this quarter in environmental Science!
  • First I want to say the word environment can mean a few things, it can stand for our earths climate, or landforms, or even other living organisms that have a part in keeping our world running.
  • E.S. uses multiple branches of science to come together using all their concepts and ideas. It's like a melting pot of all sciences
  • Right now our environment is being harmed greatly by multiple things that we humans are doing, basically every country on this earth is doing things that are killing our earth
  • Places like this that develop "basic necessities" like electricity are killing the planet and most don't care or realize that something so basic like that is hurting our home.
  • Whether the county is developed or not it is most likely doing something that harms the environment.
  • Our worlds environment is beautiful and full of life.
  • Big corporations who sometimes fool you into thinking their good can destroy places like this that are vital to the survival of our world just for profit.
  • They go into countries that are developing and need more money and destroy their natural resources to meet consumer needs and destroy places like this,
  • Animals homes are lost and they must migrate or die, which means nothing to the business but it hurts our environment
  • They destroy forests and habitats like you just saw and turn them into cities and towns.
  • There are laws and regulations that have been put in place to stop big businesses from destroying nature, but that doesn't stop them from going to developing or poor countries and destroying them.
  • I would consider myself an ecocentric, I am pro our environment and against businesses and governments destroying our environment for personal gain.
  • There are multiple problems that are plaguing our world. And I mean that word fully, at the rate we are going with air pollution, Carcinogenic's, and water pollution from all different types of things, our world is dying and fast. If we don't make big changes to how we live and operate as a society we will damage it to a point we can never fix. We are already in the midst of a mass extinction and most people are unaware due to how hard some businesses are trying to hide their carbon footprint.
  • We are all responsible for how we treat our earth, If we all take a step and stop littering, using plastic, and doing things that harm our environment we have a fighting chance to save our world. But we ALL must make these changes even if they are not as convenient as what we used to do.
  • Economics and our environment go hand-in-hand.
  • Economic principles has a huge influence in environmentaldecision-making. It's mostly based on supply and demand, the demand chooses what resources will need to be in supply, so businesses pushing consumers to keep buying means needing to supply more goods and harvest them (which can also hurt our environment) and this means their using more natural resources and destroying more of our environment.
  • In the end if we don't stop what we are doing, we are going to kill our planet and either inhabit a new one or the human race will go extinct as we know it.
  • The tragedy of the commons is the fact that if there is an open area for people to farm resources or animals, people will completely destroy the area and take everything from it until there is nothing, an example of this is overfishing. People fish too much in international waters with no rules and destroy the populations not giving them time to recuperate and then they go extinct.
