Storyboard Text

  • Tybalt provokes Romeo, calling him a villain and challenging him to fight.
  • Since Romeo refuses to fight, Mercutio steps in and fights Tybalt.
  • Romeo tries to stop the fight, but fails to do so and Mercutio is stabbed.
  • Tybalt and the other Capulets leave, and Benvolio takes the injured Mercutio into a house.
  • Mercutio is pronounced dead and Tybalt returns. In rage, Romeo fights Tybalt and slays him.
  • Romeo runs away, in fear of the Prince's punishment for killing Tybalt.
