England make the proclamation because they didn't want another war after the french and Indian war over their land so they made it so the Anglo-American's cant settle on their land. As a result, Colonists when west to settle.
Intolerable Acts - 1774
Great Britain taxed the colonist on stamps to pay back the cost of the French and Indian war. This resulted in the colonist boycotting British goods
Boston Tea Party - 1773
Great Britain taxed the colonist again on many different things so they could raise a army in north America. The colonist again boycotted the goods.

The intolerable acts put 4 laws into place because of the Boston tea party. The first was to close the Boston harbor. The second was to change the government leaders of the colonies and forbade town meetings. The third was to protect British officials who commit crimes. Finally, the fourth law remade the quartering act and made British soldiers live in American colonist homes.

The colonist, angered at the British for the tax put on goods, throws more than 300 crates of tea that was taxed from the Townshend act into the ocean. This made the ocean smell and made the British shut down the Boston harbor.

After the Townshend Act, colonists started to get mad and started revolving around the colonies. They started assaulting British soldiers and as a result, fired back killing 5 colonists.
