  • Ha, you cant defeat me
  • Everyone sing along
  • What are you doing hereGet him,Finish him
  • Being a hero is such a hard thing, so much happening
  • Hahaha,I had a great time with you all
  • This chapter was about the virgo zodiac sign. The virgos were represented by Unferth and Grendel. Unferth wanted to be a perfect hero, and Virgos tend to be perfectioanists. Grendel would always try to alalyze or make sence of everything, and Virgos tend to be analyticala. Also, Grendel always would speak with truth, and Virgos are very honest people. Since chapter six "Virgo" refers to the virgin, my idea is that Grendel is reborn in that chapter once he realized he had the power to not get her, he became a new "guy/creature. "So much for the harvest-virgin." (Gardner, page ) and unferth tries hard to be a hero, and tried to battle grendel. But when Grendel declines he starts to change his views of life.
  • and how would you know, what type of hero would you be
  • This is when Grendel was watching into the Mead Hall and was over hearing them listening to music. He was feeling mixed emotions about the music they were listening to. Then a guard approached him and tried to attack him, and get other guards to attack Grendel. But because Grendel was invulnerable to attacks because of the charm the dragon had put on him, he walked toward the woods and attacked a guard. "I could walk up to the mead-hall whenever I pleased. and they were powerless." (Gardner, page 76) Unferth approaches Grendel and is surprised that he can speak his language, Grendel begins explaining to him how hard it can be being a hero, having to always be perfect. But also how beneficial it can be. Unferth mortifies Grendel, so then Grendel attacks him. with apples. '"I've never seen a live hero before. I thought they were only in poetry. Ah, ah, it must be a terrible burden, though, being a hero"' (Gardner, page 84)
