- Our journey begins on the shores of Maui. As a young North Alantic Right whale (Bailey) is about to begin the adventure of a lifetime.
- As Bailey begins her journey she is bound to encounter many obstacles.
- As Bailey becomes of age, she finds the man of her dreams in the cool Alaskan waters and they continue the circle of life
- As Bailey now carrying a new life her instincts take her back to the warm waters of Maui to give birth
- Bailey made her journey safely back to Maui and gave birth to a healthy baby calve.
- But None of this ever happened
- While fishing nets, fishing lines and other obstacles but the biggest obstacle is something that we can not even see.
- With rising global temperatures. It makes it difficult for the female whales to have calves
- Due to the human impact and burning of fossil fuels it increases the average CO2 distribution causing rising global temperatures.
- With warming temperatures, CO2 collects in the ocean (carbon sink) raising the acidity of the water. With the rise in acidity, it makes it difficult for fish to survive and adapt.
- Ocean acidification is a critical problem that not a lot of people are aware of. If we do not act quickly to fix the mess me made. Coral reefs, whales, penguins, the ocean as we know it will not be the same.
- What really happened was Bailey made it to Alaska.
- With the rising temperatures in the ocean, the feeding grounds of Alaska have become depleted.
- Bailey had to fight other whales for limited food.
- Bailey was extremely malnourished and did not survive the Migration
- The sad part of all if this is it could have been avoided.
- Bailey may have been a made-up whale but if we continue our ways there we will wipe out the whale species. So please do your part and lets make our planet a better place.
