  • PAC Resources, Inc. Founded in 1994
  • Good Morning, My name is David Dukakas. I am the founder of PAC Resources. Our 835 full-time employees and I specialize in specialty components for the computer industry.

  • My name is Cliff McNamara, Chief Financial Officer at PAC Resources. I started working at PAC very early on in the strip mall you see behind me.
  • Inside the walls of our company, you will see several strengths. We have a CEO with vision, a good source of funding, a certification granted by the Internal Organization for Standardization. Also, all of our products are made in the USA.
  • · 83% of sales comes from one manufacturer · 2 quarters of questionable numbers · Possibility of fraudulent activity · Discord among employees · Decreases in bonuses and pay
  • Every company has weaknesses. Our company is no different. You will see a few of our weaknesses on the board behind me. 
  • Weaknesses
  • Some of our weaknesses were ethical, some were due to lack of training and some were staffing issues. We came together to come up with a plan.
  • Our sales numbers were misrepresented for the last two quarters.
  • We currently have a hiring and compensation freeze.
  • FMLA paperwork should have been filed for an employee but was put through as a termination.
  • Specifically, here are a few issues we are working to resolve.
  • There was the possibility of fradulent activity
  • At a time of weakness, Union organizers distributed pamphlets.
  • I found that a number of unconfirmed sales were anticipated for January and were pre-booked into our accounting system. These sales were entered without a signed purchase order or confirmed contract. This is a violation of company policy. For a remedy, I called for an immediate accounting of all bonuses paid to the sales staff and made sure that any bonuses paid on fictitious orders was returned to the company. Disciplinary action will follow for those involved.
  • Due to the mistake of filing for termination instead of FMLA, each employee should go through a re-fresher training. 
  • PAC responded with management training and reorganization of lower-level supervisory positions. “Talk-to-the-Boss” program was implemented, allowing employees to bring issues to any level of management without fear of reprisal.
  • At a time when water cooler talk was not favorable for the company, union organizers brought by information.
  • Yes, PAC is on a hiring freeze, but that is not all negative.
  • As in the past, we will work together, and the good work that we do will sustain us during these difficult times.
  • Like every organization,PAC has had some issues to address.  This is not a new thing for companies.
