- I'm not going to follow the Petition of Rights because it limits my power!

- WE HATE CHARLES!!!!
- King Charles I was unpopular because he ignored the Petition of Rights. He taxed people and he tried to impose more ritual on the Church of England.
- Restoration of the Stuart Monarchy
- I suspend the law of the parliament against Catholics and puritans!!!!
- The civil war was between the Parliament (roundheads) and Charles I (Cavaliers). The war happened because of religion disagreements and because the king was abusing his power.
- Glorious Revolution
- We accept the throne and the bill of right!!!
- Charles I was overthrown because he lost the civil war war against the Parliament. The Parliament decided to execute him because of all the bad thing he did to people. He was decapitated on January 30, 1649.
- English Bill of Rights
- BILL OF RIGHTS!!!!!
- Charles II was in charge but the parliament kept most of the power they had won during the war. Charles tried to push his ideas about Catholicism. He suspend the laws passed against Catholics and Puritans.
- William of Orange with king Louis XIV invaded England. They won the war against James with almost no bloodshed. The parliament offered the throne to William and Mary and they acepted.
- The Bill of Rights was a document that tells how the relationship between the people and the government should be. It protects the rights of people.
